Tetfest 2023

Tetfest is now in its sixth year and we know from the positive comments we have received just how much of a focal event it has become for Tetbury residents – something for the whole community to get behind and enjoy. 

Until now we have managed to keep Tetfest free at the point of entry, but sadly the economic situation has caught up with us and this year we have been forced to introduce a small admission fee to help cover our ever-expanding costs. Just to put this into context, Tetfest 2022 attracted over 2,000 visitors and cost £20,000 to stage. For 2023 we can accommodate up to 3,000 people and we anticipate that our costs will rise accordingly. If Tetbury residents want this event to remain part of the local community calendar, we need a way of reliably funding it. Unfortunately, we are now at the point where we can’t solely depend on council grants and sponsorship from local businesses. By introducing a small admission fee, we can guarantee that the event will go ahead. 

It won’t be much – just £5 per adult. Children under 18 will still be able to come in for free but will need a ticket, so don’t forget to apply for one or each child you plan to bring with you (booking fees will apply). 

We all know that times are tough, and we do want to make sure that everyone who wants to come to Tetfest still can, therefore we will be making 50 tickets available via the local food bank where staff are best placed to identify worthy recipients.  

There will also be opportunities to volunteer and receive a free ticket in exchange for the help you can give us. We desperately need help with set-up and site construction, car parking, stewarding, litter picking on the day, site take down and clean up. It’s easy – work for a couple of hours and get a free ticket for the day. Any assistance you can offer is hugely appreciated. Details of how to apply will be posted here soon.

Tetfest 2023 is going to be great – we are already working hard to make sure it is a success. Bands are being booked – and we’ve got some amazing acts already signed - food stalls are being approached, more fairground attractions are being discussed and the Rugby Club is already making plans to run the bar. We will also be expanding our children’s entertainment area and activities such as bouncy castles, climbing wall and face painting will remain ENTIRELY FREE!

Tickets will go on sale on September 24th at 10am 2022. Please be sure to apply early – you really don’t want to miss out!
